About our standards
About Fruit Extracts

Founded in 2009. Fifteen years of fruit-process engineering.

Fruit Extracts grew out of Winestab, a 2009 mobile-services company focused on the treatment of juice and wine, and the recovery of valuable by-products. Today we process apples, pears, grapes, mandarin and grapefruit into juice and concentrate — at our facility in the Breedekloof.

01 / Who we are

A fruit-process engineering company operating our own extraction plant.

We are not a trader. We process fruit ourselves. Every stage of the operation — from intake at the farm gate to delivery to the customer — runs on equipment our team has designed, built, or specified against the fruit type and the customer's spec.

02 / Where we are

Breedekloof, inside the SA fruit belt.

Our operations base is in Wolseley, in the heart of South Africa's apple, pear and grape country. Short supply lines from grower to gate mean fresher inputs, faster runs, and a fully traceable batch record.

03 / How we test

Full lab-scale and pilot-scale capability in-house.

Before any new product or process runs at full production scale, we test and refine it on our own lab and pilot lines. That means we can prove a spec, dial in a recipe, and iterate quickly — without taking commercial production offline.

What we do

We process fruit. From orchard to final product.

We take apples, pears, grapes, mandarin and grapefruit and turn them into juice and concentrate — using a combination of equipment we have designed and built ourselves, and industry best-practice equipment we have selected and integrated. Every stage of the process is operated in-house.

Fruit handling & processing

We design fruit-handling processes for the specific fruit going through them — apple, pear, grape, mandarin, grapefruit — and we operate those processes ourselves at our facility in the Breedekloof.

Technology

Five stages. Twelve capabilities. Every one in-house.

From the moment fruit leaves the supplier to the moment a sealed IBC arrives at your facility, each stage has its own engineered capability stack — milling, filtration, evaporation, logistics. This is what excellence in extraction technology looks like under the hood.
